Did you think we could not innovate beyond social media? Introducing, the Metaverse.
Facebook announced that they're changing their company name to Meta, because they want to invest in and pioneer something called the Metaverse.

Social media changed how we interact as a global community and I believe the Metaverse is the next evolution to social internet interaction.
Understanding the concept of the Metaverse.
Quoting Mrwhosetheboss, who spoke on the subject, in his YouTube video; he said, "Throughout history, we have constantly been moving towards more and more engaging mediums. We've gone from text to photo to video. From...reading books and papers to now spending most of our time watching TikToks on the internet. And the Metaverse is what comes next. An internet that you're not just looking at through a screen but that you're actually inside off. Take anything you could think of doing right now; shopping, chatting with friends, meditating, to ASMR videos on YouTube; and now imagine that in the time it takes for you to just snap your fingers you could be doing that thing in a way that feels real, with other people who feel present, in a setting that's whatever you want it to beโa living shared everlasting virtual universe."
To help you visualize it, imagine Ready Player One (the movie) or Free Guy (the movie). That is but a glimpse of what the Metaverse will look & feel like.
And it has all the tools to make it work.
Within the Metaverse, your profile picture will be an avatar (a 3D motion-enabled representation of yourself), the legal tender will be Cryptocurrency powered by Blockchain, contractual agreements will be authenticated using Smart Contracts, and visual and audio experiences will be sold as NFTs.
Not to say that this technology is entirely new or way into the future: Fortnite, the multiplayer game, is a Metaverse. Pop star and songwriter, Ariana Grande, performed a series of concerts in Fortnite's Metaverse and millions of gamers attended. Meta (formerly known as Facebook) is not the only investor. Microsoft joined in. The aim? To create a virtual immersive work environment where you can work from anywhere yet feel like you are in the office with your colleagues.
The Metaverse is already here. Question is, are you ready for it?
More to come on 'the Metaverse'.
Till next time. Stay curious. Stay healthy. โ๐พ
